Once again it’s time for a massive Swedish punch! 2 ½ years after their successful Metal Blade debut "Hellucinate", IMPIOUS are back with a vengeance. "Holy Murder Masquerade" is the title of their sixth album, the most ambitious piece of work in the career of the Trollhattan gang.
Not only is the music a bit more melodic this time around, creating a decidedly evil atmosphere, but eyes and mind get the full deal, too! Because "Holy Murder Masquerade" is a concept album, the story of a young man named Trent. In his sick mind, Trent sees himself as a true servant of God, and he’s about to complete his violent, gory work.
With this album, the listener also becomes the reader. IMPIOUS spared no efforts or money, hiring well-known Italian comic book artist Andrea Cavaletto, who phenomenally illustrated the above mentioned story for the CD booklet.
Watch for IMPIOUS in 2007, as their worldwide fan base is ever growing, a fact documented by tours with AMON AMARTH (twice in Europe) and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER (Japan).
